Q: Which type of swing gate system is the best?
Well, the question is easy to answer but it depends on whether you are considering a total system overhaul or an upgrade to automation. To determine your requirements and recommend the most suitable swing gate system, you should consider the following:
- Your budget
- The efficiency of your current system
- The level of privacy that you desire
- The theme that you prefer the system to exude
- The mechanical operation of your automated system.
Q: How do I use my swing gate during power outages?
The most recommendable process for swing gate automation includes incorporating a manual feature for emergencies. Our gates feature emergency manual override as standard. This can be activated from within and outside of the gate. We always recommend that clients install the gate automation on a seperate circuit. If possible, organise back-up power sources such as generators.

Before considering the law of different local authorities, let common sense guide your installation process. Do you think that your installation process will infringe on any public amenities or interrupt public service? In which case you will definitely need planning permission. You will also need planning permission if your entrance is close to a major road. Any considerations that involve the general public like excessively steep driveway slopes and possible excavation will require that you convince local authorities that you will be extra diligent and careful.
Q: What will stop the gate from closing whenever I use it to enter or exit?
Because automated swing gates are such heavy machinery, expert swing gate installers are always very keen to protect users, pedestrians and drivers who uses them. To prevent the swing gate from shutting when you are passing, the engineers design and implement the safety protocols with a lot of reliable ingenuity such as photocells and loops which detect obstructions in the gate operation area.
Q: Why do I need to service my gate?
Friction occurs between moving parts, and it causes wear and tear. That said, your swinging gate will wear and tear gradually with time around all of its oscillating parts. The gates that are opened and closed for frequently than others wear out the most and fastest. Moving parts are compactly intertwined and wearing of the metal material weakens its functionality and will attract an eventual malfunction.
Servicing may include automation, repair and upgrading. Remember that experts may be slightly more expensive to hire, but you are always guaranteed of a profound long term effect and the improved safety of your swing gate.
Q: How do I know that I have visitors at the gate?
All of our electric swing gates are compatible with communication system via audio/video intercom which allows visitors to reach homeowners and announce their arrival. Some intercoms are hardwired while some are connected through wireless connections and thus can be operated remotely via a smart device. This allows the homeowner to verify the identity of the visitor before granting access onto the property.
